We are a family-owned and run business, established in 1967 by R. Bron Robinson. Bron’s original specialty was ponds primarily serving agricultural and recreational customers. R.B. Robinson Contracting incorporated in 1974 with Bron in charge of the field operations and Hannah Robinson (or soon-to-be Robinson back in ’74) managing the books. Since then we have been providing grading, excavating and underground installation services to upstate New York and northern Pennsylvania. The business expanded over time and Bron and Hannah’s sons Brad and Will run day to day operations since Bron and Hannah’s well-deserved retirement. The business has at times expanded to serve Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland, but our base of operations remains at the junction of the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes regions in Candor, New York.
Our affiliate company, H.L. Robinson Sand & Gravel, incorporated in 1990, produces and delivers stone, sand and gravel products for Robinson Contracting projects as well as for outside contractors, municipalities, and the general public.
